Police Dog Tracks Suspect of Break -In

Sergeant Mark Hays and K-9 Pluto of the Newton, North Carolina Police Department were called out on the evening of October 3, 2007 to track a suspect in a break-in. They arrived at the scene of the crime and Pluto began to track a suspect into a wooded area. After approximately 1/4 mile track, Pluto alerted to a van that was parked. Inside the van was the suspect that had fled form the scene of the break-in along with all of the items that he had just stolen. This was Plutos first night on the job. Sergeant Hays and Pluto recently graduated from their handler school at Highland Canine Training on September 28, 2007. Congratulations to Sergeant Hays and Pluto....Keep Up the Great Work!
