Police K9 Trainers School Outline
Our Police Canine Trainers
Course is designed to teach the student how to select and test dogs for
police work as well as how to train and maintain these dogs. This course
provides the student with both lecture and practical, hands-on training
with dogs that we have in-kennel at various stages of training. This combination
of lecture and practical training through each step of selecting, developing
and training a Dual Purpose Police dog will provide the solid foundation
needed to be a successful Police K9 trainer.
Students are allowed to bring up to two (2) dogs with them during the course. This offers the student the opportunity to not only train the dogs that we have at our facility, but to also work with their personal dogs.
Our Police Canine Instructor / Trainers Courses can be tailored to fit
your individual needs. Our course includes a broad overview of training
police dogs and is designed for handler/trainers that work for departments
or for those wanting to start their own business as a police canine trainer.
This course teaches everything from selection and testing of police canines
and handlers to managing and maintaining a K9 Unit..
