Alexander County NC - An Alexander County man was charged with drug trafficking after sheriff's investigators said they found a quantity of drugs and cash inside his home.

Alexander County Sheriff's deputies found the man at his home with approximately 9 ounces of cocaine and over $2000 in cash.

K-9 Jake is the newest member of the Alexander County Sheriff's Department. He and his handler, Sergeant Jeff Sharpe, recently completed their police canine handler's course at Highland Canine Training.

Sergeant Jeff Sharpe and K-9 Jake of the Alexander County Sheriff's Department assisted in the investigation. This case is only one of the many successful finds that this team has recently had.
