Herding Dogs and Herding Dog Training

Highland Canine Training offers herding dog training and herding dogs for sale or lease. Herding dogs are trained to herd cattle, sheep, goats, and are also used for geese management. All of our herding dogs are trained in both on and off leash obedience. We also offer herding training for owners who are merely interested in working with their dogs to help preserve the talents and abilities of the herding breeds.

We offer In-kennel herding training programs as well as private lessons and group training for herding dog training at our facility and have dog-broke sheep and other livestock on-site to assist in this training. We can also come to you to teach private herding lessons. Our herding training is affordable and we get results. Herding dog training can be a great way for a dog and handler to learn to work more closely together and have a great deal of fun doing it. Utilizing herding activities, especially for those dogs that are bred for it, can be a natural answer to boredom, destructive behavior and other common behavioral problems. Sheep herding can also be a great way to focus and physically challenge dogs as well.

Herding dogs are an asset to any farm or facility that has livestock. Geese Management

Geese management dogs are available for sale, rental or lease and are very useful for airports, golf courses, schools, race tracks and event arenas. These dogs are trained to remove geese from the property and they discourage geese from occupying your home or business.

Geese can often be a nuisance and can cause messes and even damage to your property.

We offer dogs and training for even the most stubborn cattle and livestock. We understand that managing cattle and large animals can be a great deal of work in itself. It can also be very time consuming as well. Chasing after cattle and trying to remove them for thick brush can often be a challenge. We have herding dogs that are assertive enough to round up and pen even the most stubborn cattle for vaccinations, inspections, sorting and other tasks.
