In Home Dog Training
Highland Canine Training Dallas, Texas offers a variety of In Home Dog Training options for owners that want their dog trained efficiently without kenneling them. With our In Home training programs, we come to your home and spend several hours training your dog to ensure that they are well mannered members of your family. Our In Home training packages allow our dog trainer an opportunity to work with our clients one-on-one and to observe the dog in their natural environment. This is a convenient option for owners who have a busy work schedule and are comfortable with not being present during your dog’s training. With our In Home dog training programs, our trainer visits your home two times each week and work with your dog for several hours during each session. These training sessions will involve focused training exercises, walks through your neighborhood, and socialization exercises when necessary. Once each week, the trainer will work individually with the owner(s) and other members of the family to show them what the dog has learned and what they have accomplished during their training sessions that week. This session will also give the dog owners an opportunity to ask questions about the training and get advice on how to maintain the training and good behaviors that have been instilled in each session.
Our In Home training programs are another convenient training option for you and your dog. Our programs are affordable and effective and will help you gain a better understanding of your dog’s behaviors, as well as helping you develop a well rounded member of your family.
Highland Canine Training Dallas, Texas offers Dog Behavior Modification programs for owners with dogs that exhibit difficult and problematic behaviors. We work with dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes with a variety of problems such as aggression, fighting, biting, resource guarding, phobias, shyness, fears, anxiety and neurotic behaviors. If you consider your dog “unable to be fixed”, you have come to the right place! With the knowledge obtained through years of working with problematic dogs we are confident that we can find the solution to your problem with effective and patient methods of training. We utilize proven, scientific techniques and applied behavior analysis along with sound operant conditioning principles to ensure that behavior problems are resolved in a safe and efficient way.
An initial evaluation and behavioral analysis interview is required to properly diagnose your dog’s issues and determine the root causes of the problems. Your initial evaluation is free of charge. Our behavior modification programs are customized to each individual dog and their owner, as no two dogs are alike and each problem may stem from a different source. Understanding the behavior and cause is the first step to successful rehabilitation. A plan of action is then set in place to ensure the success of our program and the rehabilitation of your dog.
If you are experiencing behavior problems with your dog and have questions or want more information on our dog behavior modification programs, feel free to contact us. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve your problems or diagnose behavior over the phone, but we will schedule a time to evaluate your dog free of charge. Based on this evaluation, we will be able to better suggest a behavior modification program suitable for you and your dog that will get you the best results.

What our clients say…
The class was well structured and moved at a pace that was easy to follow. Although it was a group class, we were all given individual time with Rachelle to address our special dog’s behavioral issues. The homework assignments and handouts were excellent and are excellent resources for canine behavior.
Rachelle is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and compassionate. Her methods are all based on positive reinforcement and nothing punitive. I enrolled to help my very timid dog become more confident. In six weeks I was amazed at how much he learned and how much more socialized he became. Rachelle instilled confidence not only in my dog, but also in me. She got us off to a great start and we will continue to work on our training.
I strongly recommend this class to every new pet owner whether you are experiencing issues or not. You will learn so much about canine behavior that you can use for the lifetime of your pet.
Rachelle did a fantastic job with our dog Holly. Before, Holly was so excited that we couldn’t get her to listen. Now, we enjoy walking her without her pulling on leash!
